Dvd Writer External Usb Drive
is internal dvd burner better for my laptop? or is external higher quality?
My Dell Latitude D610 has DVD drive, but I want to burn DVDs and games, and a quality burner (though not too expensive) is what I want. The question is - would an internal dvrw be faster, or is the USB connection to an external dvrw fast enough? An external dvd writer can burn faster, correct? But is the USB connection fast enough to transfer all the data on time?
Also, if I were to install internal dvrw, is it difficult? I'm no moron, but don't have tons of tools either. THANKS for any help!!
I personally prefer an in-built (internal) DVD writer as it's more stable and convenient. You'd use an external drive only if you need portability, or want to connect & transfer files between many different machines.
There's really not much difference on the speed front between external and internal, and given a choice, I'd go for the internal drive itself.
